هذه رسالة قام بكتابتها فؤاد الفرحان قبل اعتقاله و نصها:

علمت أن هناك أمر رسمي من أحد مسؤولي وزارة الداخلية للتحقيق معي و أنه سيتم اعتقالي في أي وقت خلال الأسبوعبن القادمين.

سبب إصدار هذا الأمر هو أنني كتبت عن المعتقلين السياسيين منذ فترة وهم يعتقدون أنني أقوم بعمل حملة دعائية للدفاع عنهم و الترويج لقضيتهم - اللي هي الإصلاح أو التغيير - في حين أن كل ما قمت به هو أنني كتبت بعض المقالات و وضعت بعض البانرات وطلبت من الإخوة المدونين أن يحذو حذوي.

طلب مني هذا المصدر أن أتعاون معه و أن أكتب اعتذار. لكني لا أدري عن ماذا يريدونني أن أعتذر؟ أأعتذر عن أنني قلت أن الحكومة كاذبة في ادعاءاتها باتهام الإصلاحيين بأنهم يدعمون الإرهاب؟

طلب مني المصدر أن أتوقع الأسوأ وهو أن يتم اعتقالي لمدة 3 أيام لحين كتابة تقرير جيد عني ومن ثم يفرجوا عني. و قد لا يكون هناك اعتقال أو حتى اعتذار لكن لو طالت المدة عن 3 ايام أريد أن تصل رسالتي هذه للجميع….لا أريد أن أنسى في السجن.

I was told that there is an official order from a high-ranking official in the Ministry of the Interior to investigate me. They will pick me up anytime in the next 2 weeks.

The issue that caused all of this is because I wrote about the political prisoners here in Saudi Arabia and they think I’m running a online campaign promoting their issue. All what I did is wrote some pieces and put side banners and asked other bloggers to do the same.
he asked me to comply with him and sign an apology. I’m not sure if I’m ready to do that. An apology for what? Apologizing because I said the government is liar when they accused those guys to be supporting terrorism?
